What changes
Predicting intersections
Classic danger comes from your own tail. Rival Run adds three independent bodies that keep changing the safe lanes.
Rules
Rules for this mode
- Three rival snakes move on every game step.
- Touching any rival body ends the run.
- A rival head reaching your body also ends the run.
- Walls, your tail, normal red ball, and timed bonus black ball still work normally.
Tactics
Three useful decisions
- Scan every rival head before crossing a lane.
- Keep two exits whenever possible.
- Wait for a patrol to pass instead of forcing a red ball.
Start
Opening plan
Watch the rivals for a few moves before crossing a busy lane. Keep the centre available so one patrol cannot seal your only exit.
Watch for
Common mistake
Tracking only the closest rival while another snake enters the route two turns later.
Practice
Use three runs for one change
Use the first run to learn the board. Repeat the same opening on the second run. On the third, change only the turn that caused the previous loss. This makes it easier to tell whether the problem was the route or the input.
