What changes
Planning around fixed structure
Classic creates a maze with the snake itself. Maze begins with part of that structure already in place.
Rules
Rules for this mode
- The outer wall, fixed blocks, and your tail can end the run.
- The obstacle layout stays fixed during a run.
- A normal red ball adds 1 point and 1 growth section.
- Only the open gaps connect the main lanes.
Tactics
Three useful decisions
- Learn the crossings before chasing a red ball aggressively.
- Return to a safe loop after a risky detour.
- Avoid entering a lane directly behind the tail.
Start
Opening plan
Use the first few turns to identify the main crossings. Build a route that can visit both sides without following the tail into a dead end.
Watch for
Common mistake
Entering a corridor whose exit will be occupied by your body before you return.
Practice
Use three runs for one change
Use the first run to learn the board. Repeat the same opening on the second run. On the third, change only the turn that caused the previous loss. This makes it easier to tell whether the problem was the route or the input.
