What changes
Early, single-input turns
The rules are familiar. Most losses can be traced to a late input or an unnecessarily complicated route.
Rules
Rules for this mode
- Walls and self-collision use Classic rules.
- The starting pace is the fastest preset.
- A normal red ball adds 1 point and 1 growth section.
- The game continues to accelerate within a fixed limit.
Tactics
Three useful decisions
- Look two cells ahead rather than staring at the head.
- Press once per planned turn.
- Prefer routes with fewer decisions.
Start
Opening plan
Keep the route simple. Use wide rectangles and enter each turn before the head reaches the corner.
Watch for
Common mistake
Waiting until the corner looks urgent, then pressing several directions at once.
Practice
Use three runs for one change
Use the first run to learn the board. Repeat the same opening on the second run. On the third, change only the turn that caused the previous loss. This makes it easier to tell whether the problem was the route or the input.
